The A1 level is aimed at pupils in their first two years (5th and 6th grade) of learning English in the Swiss primary school. The main objectives of this level is to ensure that pupil’s first experiences of learning English are positive, enjoyable and meaningful so that they can learn to use English as a means of real communication.
